JET ENGINE MECHANIC (CFM56) – 2nd SHIFT

What You Will Do:
The Mechanic will be responsible for performing duties as directed and assigned. Personnel assigned maintenance functions shall report to the Jet Engine Repair Manager or Supervisor and are specifically responsible for:

    • Properly executing duties assigned.
    • Performing maintenance and alteration tasks on engine parts/modules in accordance with the current technical data provided in manufacturer’s Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service Bulletins, services letters Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
    • Ensuring that they are thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used within their assigned area of responsibility.
    • Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.

    Qualifications:
    Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies include but are not limited to…

      • Must hold a valid U.S. identification and be able to work in the United States; must be able to speak, read, and write the English language.
      • Minimum three years jet engine maintenance work experience; CFM56 Engines preferred.
      • Must have basic mechanical skills.
      • Must own basic set of aircraft maintenance tools as needed to perform power plant maintenance functions.
      • Must take instructions and guidance well.
      • Must be goal oriented, have good attention to detail, and must work well in team situations and also as an individual.
      • Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work any and all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
      • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
      • Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which includes bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead for a long period of time.
      • Must hold a valid U.S. identification. Must be able to work in the United States. Must be able to Speak, Read, and Write the English Language.

      Preferred:

        • Airframe License.

CNC HIGH SPEED BLADE TIP GRINDER AND OPERATOR

What You Will Do:
As a CNC operator you will repair precision parts using automated equipment and accurate measurements. You will need to have a written program to accomplish various machining operations as per the OEM manual as to remove the required material for pre or final grinding. You will need to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail. You will be able to operate the Butler Newall precision blade tip grinder to required dimensions to meet the desired clearance for performance. The goal is to ensure effective production operations (through-put), OTD and optimize procedures.

    • Experience with the Butler Newall precision blade tip grinder.
    • Engage with engineering to determine blade tip dimensions for high compressor spools and HPT blades.
    • Review samples, drawings, manuals and instructions to understand specifications of output.
    • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
    • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
    • Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job.
    • Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.
    • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues.
    • Check output to ensure consistency with specifications.
    • Perform routine machine preventive maintenance and repair minor damages.

    Qualifications:
    Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies include but are not limited to…

      • Proven experience as CNC grinder.
      • Experience in using, set-up and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, mills, grinders etc.)
      • Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements.
      • Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material.
      • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
      • Strong math with analytical abilities.
      • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
      • High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
      • All other assigned duties.
      • Must hold a valid U.S. identification and be able to work in the United States; must be able to speak, read, and write the English language.

MACHINIST / TOOL MAKER

What You Will Do:
The Machinist/Tool Maker will produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements. You will need to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail. You must also have knowledge of mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions. The goal is to ensure effective production operations (through-put), OTD and optimize procedures.

    • Review samples, drawings, manuals and instructions to understand specifications of output.
    • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
    • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
    • Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job.

Painter (CFM56)

What You Will Do:
We are seeking a skilled Painter to apply a variety of coatings and other related tasks. You will paint, coat, seal, and clean a variety of different aircraft engine parts (CFM56) using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements. You will need to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail. You must also have knowledge of aerospace painting techniques, as well as respect hazards waste disposal and adhere to all safety regulations.

    • Prepares metal products for cleaning and performs chemical processing on both standard and non-standard processes. May be assigned to work on more complex or difficult products or tasks.
    • Works with Engineering in developing new processes as needed.
    • On a limited bases, may perform minor process duties such as: Passivates, Steam cleans, pickles, blasts, refines, and tumbles parts.
    • Uses hand cleaning tools and other small equipment to clean, paint and seal aircraft engine parts per specifications or work instructions.
    • Performs visual and inspection of parts before and after painting to assure quality.
    • Displays proper handling of all equipment and waste, including hazardous waste.
    • Promotes and fosters a continuous improvement culture.

    Qualifications:
    Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies include but are not limited to…

      • Must hold a valid U.S. identification and be able to work in the United States; must be able to speak, read, and write the English language.
      • Minimum two years aviation related painting or manufacturing process experience; CFM56 engines preferred.
      • Fully qualified/certified in majority of operations and products and demonstrated ability to meet or exceed production and quality standards.
      • Proficient in reading, understanding and following blueprints, engineering orders, OEM manual specifications, and verbal instructions. Able to perform basic to intermediate mathematical calculations.
      • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
      • Able to participate and provide input to engineering or other leaders on operational status or performance.
      • Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work any and all shifts, including nights, weekends and occasional holidays.
      • Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which includes bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead for a long period of time.
      • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
      • Must possess a positive attitude, and be an energetic self-starter who also works well in a team environment.

PRODUCTION PLANNER / COORINATOR MRO

What You Will Do:
The Production Planner will be responsible for reviewing/scheduling engine repair to meet company needs and customer expectations. This will include liaising with all relevant departments: Inventory, Machine Shop, Inspection, Purchasing, Assembly/Disassembly, and Quality to ensure all aspects of MRO have been covered.

    • Thoroughly review work scope to understand scope of repair and customer deliverables.
    • Coordinate with purchasing department to make sure all material needs have been identified and ordered.
    • Knowledge in Quantum is essential and must be an effective user of systems.
    • Responsible to ensure internal/external repair work orders are in place to meet engine schedule.
    • Coordinate with other department supervisors to ensure resources are available to complete tasks on time.
    • Send out weekly progress reports.
    • Review of TAT time to plan out a realistic production schedule.
    • Participate in production meetings and highlight critical path.
    • Prepare work-around plans to surge capacity and expedited delivery demands.
    • Ensure all parts, materials, and tooling are available to perform planned task.
    • Follow procedures and regulations to comply with FAA and other quality standards.
    • Make recommendations to management on process improvements.
    • Work closely with mechanics to set delivery expectations.

      • Experience in the MRO Aviation industry.
