Customer Service Manager

What You Will Do:
The Customer Service Manager will be responsible for all aspects of receiving customer inquiries, determining cost estimate, providing quotes, receiving and developing work scopes, Reporting progress and status reports to customers. Reconciling estimates, additional work and actual repair costs with accounting and communicating invoices with customers, acting as contact person for any customer quality control and records issues, soliciting engine and repairs /piece part/field service repairs. Offering engine sales/trade/ exchange. Assisting VP of Sales & Marketing in their absence along with other executive management.

    • Visit core customers no less than once every six months.
    • Produce trip reports and other communication methods to alert/inform management of customer needs and wants.
    • Provide weekly status reports to customers. Status reports to include a minimum of test dates, cost estimate amount, any applicable hold days in any, any additional disassembly accomplished beyond the original work scope and any major scrap parts.
    • Attend production meetings while production is reviewing their customer’s engine.
    • Ensure that GEM has a purchase order, disk sheet, AD status, and work specification before we start working an engine.
    • Ensure there is good communication between GEM and customer and there are no surprises on either side.
    • Process invoices in no more than three days and limit number of re-drafts.
    • Provide customers with cost estimates and ensure that customers are not surprised by invoice amounts.
    • Maximize profits by managing parts issues to customer engines.
    • Be willing to travel and work long hours when required.
    • File customer complaints.
    • Provide year-end reports reflecting their respective customer’s revenue and profit by work order.
    • Provide communications to and update as necessary a backup CSM in the case of travel away from the office.
    • Leadership ability to promote and foster a continuous improvement culture.

    What You Will Need to Be Successful:

      • Experience with CFM 56/PW JT8D product lines.
      • Must be willing to work long hours.
      • Must be willing to travel.
      • Demonstrates exceptional written and oral communication skills with management and staff.
      • Strong consulting and negotiation skills with the capacity to deliver superior customer service while being a solid team player that is versed in managing and resolving conflict.

JET ENGINE REPAIR (MANAGER)

What You Will Do:
The Jet Engine Repair Manager ensures all maintenance is performed correctly per applicable standards and regulations. You will assist in maintaining facility in compliance with company and OSHA regulations.

    • Supervises mechanics in overall maintenance operation, including performing preventative maintenance, repair, modifications and other maintenance of aircraft engines, components and related equipment in compliance with 14 CFR, manufacturers specifications, the company policy and procedures as well as other methods accepted by the FAA and OSHA.
    • Plans and prioritizes work, which includes prioritizing, directing, laying out and coordinating activities so as to minimize delays, increase production and efficiency and to assure timely delivery of aircraft engine.
    • Provide weekly status reports to customers. Status reports to include a minimum of test dates, cost estimate amount, any applicable hold days in any, any additional disassembly accomplished beyond the original work scope and any major scrap parts.
    • Determines job standards to test personnel productivity, safety habits and workmanship.
    • Understands, communicates and enforces company policies and procedures. Recommends changes to eliminate conflicts and/or enhance operational effectiveness.
    • Reviews and approves material requests. Ensures adherence to material handling and control procedures. Coordinates with Materials team to ensure required materials arrive as needed.
    • Conducts shift meetings, briefings and participates in management meetings. Adheres to established work schedule.
    • Ensures the maintenance area is maintained in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
    • Provides timely and accurate information on engine status. Communicates accurately to Production Control the status of all engine serviceability and readiness.
    • Trains and assists mechanics in proper procedures, methods and practices to be followed in each respective duty. Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of the OJT program.
    • Guides the mechanics in the handling and operation of shop equipment, ground equipment, vehicles, and company tools to assure equipment is used safely, accounted for, and kept in serviceable condition.
    • Ensures all departmental internal company forms, maintenance records documents, work orders, manual revision compliance is completed accurately. Monitors and updates timekeeping on a daily basis.
    • Recommends changes to processes to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
    • Provides technical leadership to team and department members. Leads through example: monitors, influences and trains others. Provides input to supervisor and leads on performance reviews and helps to identify development needs. Provides performance feedback, counseling and takes corrective action as necessary. May conduct performance review for assigned mechanics and leads.
    • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

    What You Will Need to Be Successful:

      • High school diploma or equivalent with an FAA Airframe (desired) and PowerPlant License (required).
      • Preferred 4 years of A&P mechanic experience on similar aircraft engines. Previous managerial experience a must.
      • Must be able to pass federal background check.
      • Must be able to communicate in an effective, calm and professional manner at all times.
      • Process general computer and administrative skills.
      • Continuously looks for process improvements.
      • Coaching and mentoring skills is a must.
      • Lean or Six Sigma experience or certifications are preferred.

MACHINIST / TOOL MAKER

What You Will Do:
The Machinist/Tool Maker will produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements. You will need to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail. You must also have knowledge of mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions. The goal is to ensure effective production operations (through-put), OTD and optimize procedures.

    • Review samples, drawings, manuals and instructions to understand specifications of output.
    • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
    • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
    • Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job.
    • Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.
    • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues.
    • Check output to ensure consistency with specifications.
    • Perform routine machine preventive maintenance and repair minor damages.

    What You Will Need to Be Successful:

      • Proven experience as machinist.
      • Experience in using, set-up and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, mills, grinders etc.
      • Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements.
      • Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material.
      • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
      • Strong math with analytical abilities.
      • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
      • High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
      • All other assigned duties.

PRODUCTION PLANNER / COORINATOR MRO

What You Will Do:
The Production Planner will be responsible for reviewing/scheduling engine repair to meet company needs and customer expectations. This will include liaising with all relevant departments: Inventory, Machine Shop, Inspection, Purchasing, Assembly/Disassembly, and Quality to ensure all aspects of MRO have been covered.

    • Thoroughly review work scope to understand scope of repair and customer deliverables.
    • Coordinate with purchasing department to make sure all material needs have been identified and ordered.
    • Knowledge in Quantum is essential and must be an effective user of systems.
    • Responsible to ensure internal/external repair work orders are in place to meet engine schedule.
    • Coordinate with other department supervisors to ensure resources are available to complete tasks on time.
    • Send out weekly progress reports.
    • Review of TAT time to plan out a realistic production schedule.
    • Participate in production meetings and highlight critical path.
    • Prepare work-around plans to surge capacity and expedited delivery demands.
    • Ensure all parts, materials, and tooling are available to perform planned task.
    • Follow procedures and regulations to comply with FAA and other quality standards.
    • Make recommendations to management on process improvements.
    • Work closely with mechanics to set delivery expectations.

    What You Will Need to Be Successful:

      • Strong organizational skills.
      • Associate’s degree (Aviation) or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
      • Excellent IT skills – strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
      • Prior knowledge of Quantum (Required).
      • Experience in the MRO Aviation industry (Required).
      • Minimum 5 year experience as a Production Planner / Coordinator.

Power Plant Engineer with preferred experience on the CFM56 and JT8D Engines

What You Will Do:

    • Create work scopes instructions for engine repairs. Research AD/SB and specific customer maintenance specification requirements.
    • Follow engine through repair process to provide work scope revisions and produce engine tear down reports.
    • Provide support with assembly issues and engine troubleshooting.
    • Provide assistance is process improvements and cost savings opportunities.

    What You Will Need to Be Successful:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or 5 years of relevant experience.
      • A&P License preferred.
      • Strong oral and written communication skills.
      • Must be able to work in the United States.

JET ENGINE MECHANIC (CFM56)

What You Will Do:
The Mechanic will be responsible for performing duties as directed and assigned. Personnel assigned maintenance functions shall report to the Jet Engine Repair Manager or Supervisor and are specifically responsible for:

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

    • Minimum three years jet engine maintenance work experience; CFM56 Engines preferred.
    • Must have basic mechanical skills.
    • Must own basic set of aircraft maintenance tools as needed to perform power plant maintenance functions.
    • Must take instructions and guidance well.
    • Must be goal oriented, have good attention to detail, and must work well in team situations and also as an individual.
    • Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work any and all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
    • Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which includes bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead for a long period of time.
    • Must hold a valid U.S. identification. Must be able to work in the United States. Must be able to Speak, Read, and Write the English Language.
    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and Power Plant (required) and Airframe License (desired).
    • Must possess a positive attitude, and be an energetic self-starter who also works well in a team environment.
    • Must be extremely well organized, detail oriented, diligent, proactive and focused.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

INSPECTOR

What You Will Do:

    • Knowledge with CFM56-3, CFM56-7 and JT8D All Series Engines.
    • 5+ Years of Experience.
    • Must be able to work in the United States.

INSPECTOR (RECEIVING)

What You Will Do:

    • Receiving Inspector is responsible to inspect both incoming and outgoing material for quantity, quality and conformance to specifications and/or other applicable requirements.
    • Work in collaboration with quality control and supply chain management.
    • Ensure compliance with all maintenance manuals, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Fleet Campaign Directives.

INSPECTOR (NDT)

What You Will Do:

    • Inspect engine components by means of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, specifically FPI and MPI, to ensure conformance with acceptance criteria.
    • Eddy Current experience is also preferred in conjunction with FPI and MPI experience.
