Global Engine Maintenance, LLC (GEM) established in 2009 is a breakthrough in the jet engine maintenance industry, serving airlines, lessors and aviation organizations world-wide. GEM specializes in offering more creative solutions for CFM56 and JT8D series engines.

GEM performs full engine restorations, hospital & surgical repairs, piece parts and module repairs, engine trading, and field service support anywhere in the world, providing unmatched response times and extraordinary customer service.

Global Engine Maintenance (GEM) is a high-performance FAA 145 / EASA Certified Repair Station and is a CASE registered organization.

Faryt Kalhil – President & CEO

Mr. Kalhil has been in the jet engine maintenance business since 1985 when he started his career as a rework mechanic at AeroThrust Corporation. Faryt spent 23 years at AeroThrust and held positions of increasing responsibility in production, technical operations, TQM, Lean Implementation, quality, and executive management. As president, Faryt assembled a seasoned team and grew AeroThrust from $32M to $103M. In 2009, he started Global Engine Maintenance and recapitalized it in 2014. Faryt has a BS and an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Rob Conrad – Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Conrad has been in the aviation industry since 1982. Having earned accounting and finance degrees, Rob began his aviation career at Aviall, working subsequently at Braniff Airways, AeroThrust, and Apollo Aviation Group, holding roles in finance, customer service, sales and operations. He has participated in more than 200 aircraft & engine transactions and hundreds more in engine repair and refurbishments.

Muazzi_Hatem

Muazzi Hatem – VP Engineering and Quality

Mr. Hatem has more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry. Muazzi is responsible for GEM’s engineering and quality assurance team. He has held senior positions at TMC Engine Center, NewJet Engine Services, Avteam, and AeroThrust. Muazzi has a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds an FAA Airframe and Power Plant license.

Norbert

Norbert Allen – Director of Operations

Mr. Allen began his aviation career in 1986 in the United States Air Force. Norbert worked at Eastern Airlines and AeroThrust Corporation, where he held several positions to include, Production Control Manager, Training Manager, Director of Business Development, and Director of Operations. Norbert also worked for AeroTurbine as a Director of Maintenance. Norbert currently holds an A&P License and has an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
